The Peruvian province of Nasca is one of the five provinces of the Department of Ica.The province has as capital the city of Nasca. CharacteristicsThe geography of the Nasca province is characterized by valleys and rivers (Ingenio, Changuillo, Aja, Socos Tierras blancas, Taruga, Trancas and Porosa), all of them are affluent of the Rio Grande basin. There are big pampas and hills typical of the coastal desert like the pampa of San Jose where we can find the famous geoglyphs or Nasca Lines. To the East of the province we can see springs that give place to the firsts Andean spurs. In coastal accidents excels “LA Ensenada de San Fernando” and the San Nicolas and San Juan bays in the south of the province. Means of communicationThe province of Nasca has access to the Panamericana sur (km 443-Nasca city) highway and the Interoceanica highway that link the mountains and the south of the Peruvian jungle reaching Brazil and Bolivia.
